The Axis Bank EDF format

  • Axis publishes "Annexure 6 – Export Declaration Form" (PDF dated 24 September 2026) with its FEMA 23(R) export and import guidelines, effective 1 October 2026. It is the RBI form, with Part 2B for services to one or more recipients.
  • Firms and companies should put the covering letter on their letterhead, Axis notes.
  • The free generator prints the same form, filled in.

Category of exporter: The RBI form's "others" works for service exporters; ask Axis if unsure.

How to submit it to Axis Bank

  • Through your relationship manager or base branch.
  • The signed EDF can be given on paper or as a scanned copy; a digitally signed EDF is accepted if the signature can be verified.
  • Late? Axis may allow up to 30 extra days on a request letter explaining the delay (Annexure 7 is its extension request).
  • Due within 30 days after the end of the month in which you invoiced: October 2026 invoices by 30 Nov 2026. One EDF covers all of a month's invoices. Work out your due date.

What to attach

  • The EDF (Annexure 6).
  • A customer request letter (Axis Annexure 1, which has an "IEC/IEPAN" field).
  • Your invoices or purchase orders, and the underlying contract or service agreement.

Charges

Axis's schedule (from 10 July 2026) has no line called "services EDF"; inward remittance ₹300, e-BRC nil, purpose-code change ₹1,000, and ₹500 per bill for an extension.

Individuals: you may not need to file

The regulations have no exemption for individuals. But on 7 October 2026 RBI's Governor said individuals don't have to report transactions of a personal nature, whatever the amount, and gave tutoring and small software work for clients abroad as examples; a Deputy Governor said individuals aren't included for contracts of a personal nature. RBI has promised an FAQ, which isn't out yet.

Until the FAQ is out, companies, LLPs and firms file; if you invoice in your own name, ask Axis Bank whether it wants an EDF from you. Who files.
