Bank of Baroda EDF form for services: free form and how BoB processes it
Bank of Baroda hasn't published an EDF format or an export policy under the 2026 rules yet; use the RBI form, which the free generator prints. Here is how BoB routes cross-border work.

The Bank of Baroda EDF format
- Bank of Baroda's cross-border page (checked 11 October 2026) has no EDF format or FEMA 23(R) policy, and its document list points to a 2020 Citizens Charter that predates the EDF for services. Use the RBI form.
- The free generator prints it filled in. Ask your branch whether BoB wants a covering request letter.
Category of exporter: The RBI form's "others" works for service exporters; ask BoB if unsure.
How to submit it to Bank of Baroda
- Through a Category B (forex) branch, which uploads it to BoB's Trade Finance Back Office: TFBO Bengaluru for the South and North-East, TFBO Gandhinagar for other states. A Category C branch sends it through its mapped Category B branch.
- BarodaINSTA SmartTrade is BoB's 24x7 trade portal with a paperless workflow to the TFBO; BoB doesn't say whether it takes a services EDF or serves savings-account customers.
- Due within 30 days after the end of the month in which you invoiced: October 2026 invoices by 30 Nov 2026. One EDF covers all of a month's invoices. Work out your due date.
What to attach
- The EDF and your invoices, with the SAC code.
- Disposal instructions and the purpose code for each inward payment.
- Many banks also ask for a request letter with FEMA declarations, the contract and an IEC. Ask your branch what BoB wants.
Charges
BoB publishes forex charges on its service charges page; check it for export-bill and EDF charges.
Individuals: you may not need to file
The regulations have no exemption for individuals. But on 7 October 2026 RBI's Governor said individuals don't have to report transactions of a personal nature, whatever the amount, and gave tutoring and small software work for clients abroad as examples; a Deputy Governor said individuals aren't included for contracts of a personal nature. RBI has promised an FAQ, which isn't out yet.
Until the FAQ is out, companies, LLPs and firms file; if you invoice in your own name, ask Bank of Baroda whether it wants an EDF from you. Who files.

Possibly not. On 7 October 2026 RBI said individuals don't have to report transactions of a personal nature, and its FAQ is awaited. Ask BoB whether it wants an EDF from you.
