Fill in the PNB EDF form free : no sign-up, nothing stored. Print it or save it as PDF, sign it and take it to your bank.

From PNB's own published documents, checked 11 Oct 2026. easylancing isn't affiliated with PNB; banks update their forms, so check the latest version (linked below) or ask your branch.

The PNB EDF format

  • PNB's export and import policy (IBD Foreign Exchange Circular 69/2026, PDF dated 29 September 2026) restates the RBI rules and says the EDF "will be submitted to AD Branch for uploading in EDPMS". It doesn't publish a separate layout, so use the RBI form.
  • The policy still says that where an exporter approaches STPI, "the existing mechanism of SOFTEX will continue". SOFTEX was abolished on 1 October 2026; if you file with PNB as your AD bank, use the EDF.

Category of exporter: The RBI form's "others" works for service exporters; ask PNB if unsure.

How to submit it to PNB

  • At your AD (forex) branch, which uploads it to EDPMS. Export transactions are processed at PNB's Trade Finance Centres; foreign inward remittances at ISB New Delhi.
  • Late? The AD branch may extend the time to submit the EDF by up to 6 months on a request giving reasons; longer extensions need a senior official's approval.
  • One EDF can cover all of a month's invoices; for services other than software you may instead submit it on or before the date of payment.
  • Due within 30 days after the end of the month in which you invoiced: October 2026 invoices by 30 Nov 2026. One EDF covers all of a month's invoices. Work out your due date.

What to attach

  • The EDF and your invoices, with the SAC code.
  • Disposal instructions and the purpose code when foreign money arrives (processed at ISB New Delhi).
  • PNB's policy restates that it may accept a third-party payer if satisfied the transaction is genuine: show the payer on the EDF and keep the agreement naming them.
  • Many banks ask for an IEC (₹500 on the DGFT portal; the number is your PAN). Ask your branch whether PNB wants one.

Charges

PNB's published forex charges schedule we found is dated November 2021 (e-FIRC ₹500); ask your branch for current EDF and export charges.

Individuals: you may not need to file

The regulations have no exemption for individuals. But on 7 October 2026 RBI's Governor said individuals don't have to report transactions of a personal nature, whatever the amount, and gave tutoring and small software work for clients abroad as examples; a Deputy Governor said individuals aren't included for contracts of a personal nature. RBI has promised an FAQ, which isn't out yet.

Until the FAQ is out, companies, LLPs and firms file; if you invoice in your own name, ask PNB whether it wants an EDF from you. Who files.

Questions

Does PNB have its own EDF form?

We found no separate PNB layout. PNB's policy (Circular 69/2026) says the EDF is submitted to the AD branch for uploading in EDPMS, so use the RBI form, which the free generator prints.

Where do I submit the EDF at PNB?

At your AD (forex) branch, within 30 days after the end of the invoice month. Processing happens at PNB's Trade Finance Centres.

Can PNB give me more time?

Yes. PNB's policy lets the AD branch extend the time for submitting the EDF by up to 6 months on a request giving reasons, and senior officials can allow more.

I'm an individual freelancer. Do I need to file at all?

Possibly not. On 7 October 2026 RBI said individuals don't have to report transactions of a personal nature, and its FAQ is awaited. Ask PNB whether it wants an EDF from you.
