The short version
- Skydo has RBI's final authorisation as a cross-border payment aggregator for inward and outward payments.
- Skydo says it issues a FIRA for every transaction, free.
- Skydo's own EDF guide says to file with the bank where your payment is finally settled, which isn't always the bank named on your FIRA.
- Skydo can only give data for payments received through Skydo.
How Skydo money reaches you
From the providers' published pages and, where marked, user reports, checked 04 Oct 2026. Providers change their banking partners and rules; check before you rely on this.
Skydo collection, rupees to your bank
- How it arrives: A rupee credit to your Indian bank. Skydo says it partners with HDFC Bank to reconcile the rupees on your side.
- Proof of payment: Skydo's FIRA for each transaction, free according to Skydo. Skydo also says it processes the e-BRC closure.
- Skydo says it is adding help with preparing the EDF; check what it offers when you file.
Your Export Declaration Form
Exporters file the EDF with their AD bank within 30 days after the end of each month in which they invoiced a foreign client. Companies, LLPs and firms file. Individuals may not need to: on 7 October 2026 RBI said individuals don't have to report transactions of a personal nature, and its FAQ isn't out yet, so ask your bank (who files). See the full EDF guide or work out your due date.
- List each invoice in Part 2B at the full invoiced amount.
- File with your own bank, where the rupees are finally credited. Skydo's guide says this is not always the bank named on the FIRA (HDFC Bank, unless HDFC is your bank).
- If you are also paid through other routes, put all of that month's invoices for the bank on one EDF.
- Keep each Skydo FIRA with the invoice number it pays.
Fees
According to Skydo's published pricing: US$19 per payment under US$2,000, US$29 from US$2,000 to US$10,000, and 0.3% above that, with no exchange-rate markup. Declare the full invoice amount and record what was deducted as a fee.
Watch out for
- Payments through a payment aggregator are capped at ₹25 lakh per transaction.
- Which bank takes the EDF for aggregator receipts isn't settled in the rules; follow your bank's instruction if it differs from Skydo's guide.
Questions
Where do I file the EDF if I'm paid through Skydo?
Skydo's own guide says to file with the bank where your payment is finally settled, which may not be the bank named on the FIRA. The rules don't settle this for aggregator receipts, so confirm with your bank.
Does Skydo give a FIRA?
Skydo says it issues a FIRA for every transaction at no charge.
Does Skydo file the EDF for me?
No. If you need to file it, you file it with your bank. Skydo says it is adding help with preparing it, and it can only supply data for payments received through Skydo.
Do it in easylancing
Upload each Skydo statement, FIRA or e-FIRC and easylancing reads the amounts, suggests the invoice it pays and fills in any fee for you to record on the invoice. At the end of the month it prepares the EDF, with the platform as third-party payer if you entered it on the invoice. Or try the free EDF generator and the purpose code list.
